Choose your approach
Two ways to remove your data
Most teams disconnect and let automated cleanup finish. If you need immediate removal, send a verified request and we will accelerate the purge.
Recommended
Automatic cleanup
Disconnect your Instagram account and we pause processing while the workspace waits out a 90-day grace period before permanent deletion.
- Disconnect via Instagram: Settings → Security → Apps & Websites → remove 'J'ko'.
- Or disconnect from the dashboard: Profile → Security → Manage connected accounts → Disconnect.
Nothing is processed during the grace period. Billing stops, and you can reconnect at any moment before day 90 to restore history.
Manual request
Immediate deletion
Need everything wiped sooner? Email the privacy team with proof of ownership and we erase your workspace as soon as verification finishes.
- Email privacy@jko.ai with subject “Data Deletion Request”.
- Include your Instagram username, workspace name/ID, and a statement that you are authorized to delete the workspace.
- We verify ownership, purge production + backups, and send a signed confirmation for your records.
Acknowledgement within 48 hours. Completion within 30 business days—most requests finish in under a week.

Request received
You disconnect or email us. Processing stops instantly and we log the deletion request in the audit trail.
- Day 0–2
Identity verification
For manual requests we confirm ownership via account email, Instagram handle, and workspace metadata before running the purge.
- Day 1–3
Production purge
All conversations, generated media, automations, and OAuth tokens are deleted from live systems.
- Within 30 days
Backup destruction
Daily backups and geo-redundant replicas are overwritten. We track checksum receipts for every storage region.
- Completion
Signed confirmation
We email confirmation with timestamps, scope of deletion, and a reference ID for your compliance records.
Everything tied to your workspace identity
- All OAuth tokens, refresh credentials, and channel connections.
- Conversation history, customer replies, and uploaded or generated media.
- Automation settings, reply templates, and workspace preferences.
- Per-customer analytics, engagement metrics, and derived datasets.
Data kept only for compliance
- Invoices, payment history, and tax records (kept for at least 7 years to satisfy accounting law).
- Aggregated, anonymized performance metrics with no personal identifiers.
- Security audit logs that only reference hashed identifiers so we can prove compliance.
Verification & safety
- Only workspace owners or verified admins can authorize deletion.
- Manual deletions are dual-reviewed by privacy and security leads.
- The purge runs entirely on our private Supabase + storage environment; nothing is outsourced.
- A PDF confirmation is attached to your ticket for record keeping.

Ask before you delete
Can I reconnect during the 90-day grace period?
Yes. Reconnect the same Instagram account before day 90 and all history, media, and automations return instantly.
Is anything recoverable after deletion completes?
No. Production databases, storage, and backups are wiped. Once you receive the confirmation email the process is irreversible.
How are customer conversations handled?
Deleting your workspace automatically deletes every related conversation, attachment, and derived metric across all connected channels.
Can I delete a single channel only?
Channel-level deletion is not available yet. Contact privacy@jko.ai if you need a custom, partial purge.
